I'M A SUCKER FOR AN ADVENTURE

March 22, 2017
So, I've been living in Cardiff for over five years now and Roath Park has always been the place I've gone too for last minute wonders. Every single time I've walked through the gates, I've always seen this weird little hub which for some unknown reason I just assumed was a little shop or something (weird, I know). But last week we were blessed with a whole lot of sunshine (only for one day of course) and it seemed the perfect day to finally check out what was inside this weird little building sitting at the entrance of Roath Park!

I can't believe it has taken me so long to realise it is actually THE most heavenly little greenhouse full of the prettiest plants ever! Oh and you can feed the turtles and the fish as well! This is defo going to be my new spot and I cannot wait for rainy days so I can pop into the little greenhouse with a cheeky little read!

A FEW OUTFIT DETAILS

February 27, 2017
Although I seem to have been extremely naughty for a very long time by abandoning this blog, I was still posting on my Instagram so here are a few posts featuring OOTD details! As you can tell, I've kind of fallen back into my lazy self when it comes to style and I seem to be choosing substance over style. A lot of this really has to do with bizarre work hours ranging from early starts and late finishes, so I've really not had much chance to explore or document my outfits. Saying that though, I really fancy getting more outfit based posts on my blog so fingers crossed the weather will perk up a teeny weeny bit because right now hoodies and jeans are the only things getting me through these rainy days!

IT'S NEARLY BEEN A WHOLE YEAR

Holy shit, it's been a whole year pretty much since I have posted on this blog. This time last year I was convinced I was moving my ass back to Birmingham and thought I had loads of shit figured out. But nope, I decided to stick around Cardiff for an extra year and it's actually nuts how fast that time has gone, how is it nearly March already? Although a lot of the year I've felt quite deflated by the pressures of being 23 and freaked out heck loads about timing, I'm pretty glad I stuck around.

Anyway back to it. In the time I didn't blog I managed to bag myself a lovely little London adventure to intern at H&M Press Office, went on a few little nice adventures, became one million percent obsessed with Japanese food, and continued by gin fuelled antics. But now I really quite fancy getting back into my hobbies, and blogging is probably the biggest priority out of them all now! So I guess in some ways this post is kind of for my own record to get my butt into gear and stop making up excuses that I have no time!

TIME OFF WORK

March 26, 2016

Having time off work is probably one of the nicest feelings. Knowing that theres no 4am alarm going off for your 6am start and just getting to explore are enough to make a girl like me stupidly happy. So a week of that has been perfect. The week has consisted of lazing around, eating loads of food, an adventure in Stratford-Upon-Avon to indulge in typically British things and now I'm back in Birmingham before I head back!

WHAT I MISS ABOUT UNI

March 18, 2016

At the age of 22 I literally thought I'd have shit figured out. Nuh uh, not that easy! Every day I wake up questioning where I'm going to be in 10 years and today is one of those days but it's taking my mind into a million and one different thoughts. I'll apologise in advance for this post as it has more of a diary-like perspective but I guess it's because I've woken up realising I miss what Cardiff used to be as a student and I've actually made the daunting decision to move out of this city. Scary.

Cardiff as a student meant struggling to wake up for those 11am lectures and spending the day in bed riddled with guilt because waking up at 9am seemed ridiculous as that hour was forbidden. Now, waking up at 4am for work ever so often I want to punch myself in the face because of how much of a dickhead I was for moaning about how early 9am seemed. Stupid Reen.

Cardiff as a student used to mean going out and not worrying about anything! You could sleep off the hangover the next day and leave those deadlines last minute (naughty but it somehow worked) , but whilst growing up you realise that it's hard to even find the same spare time as your friends because everyone is constantly on the go. Oh how I miss drunken careless antics.

Cardiff used to be about exploring and going adventures. Waking up in the mornings with zero plans and just exploring places that I didn't know existed with my housemates. Bike rides on sunny days were my favourite.  Cranbrook had it all going on.

It has only just became clear to myself as to why I moved back to this city after graduating in the last few days. It seems bizarre that I'll be leaving as I guess Cardiff has been home for nearly 4 years now.  But I guess it's time to grow up and let go of this city.

Woah.
